Choosing the right size should feel simple, considered and reassuring.
Our shirts are designed with a classic, relaxed football-shirt silhouette: easy through the body, comfortable across the shoulders, and refined enough for everyday wear. They are not slim-fit performance shirts, compression sportswear or oversized streetwear.
They are made to feel familiar, comfortable and quietly nostalgic — inspired by the ease of archive football shirts but interpreted for modern wear.
Our Fit
The Timeless Shirt Archive shirts are cut for a relaxed regular fit.
This means:
- Comfortable through the chest and body
- Easy across the shoulders
- Suitable to wear on its own or layered over a T-shirt
- More relaxed than a slim modern football shirt
- More refined than an oversized casual top
For most customers, we recommend choosing your usual size.
If you prefer a looser, more archive-inspired fit — or if you are between sizes — we recommend sizing up.
Size Guide
Our measurements are garment measurements, not body measurements.
This means each shirt is measured laid flat. The best way to choose your size is to compare the measurements below with a shirt you already own and like wearing.
| Size | M | L | XL |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shoulder | 48 cm | 49 cm | 50 cm |
| Chest | 55 cm | 57 cm | 59 cm |
| Length | 73 cm | 75 cm | 77 cm |
Please allow for a small tolerance in garment measurements due to the nature of production and fabric handling.

(model is 185cm tall, medium build, and wears size L for a relaxed fit)
How to Measure
To find your best size, take a shirt you already own and enjoy wearing, lay it flat, and compare it with our measurements.
Chest Width
Measure across the shirt from armpit to armpit.
This is usually the most important measurement when choosing your size.
Body Length
Measure from the highest point of the shoulder, near the collar, down to the bottom hem.
This is useful if you are taller or prefer more coverage.
Shoulder Width
Measure from one shoulder seam to the other.
This helps you understand how structured or relaxed the shirt will feel across the upper body.
Which Size Should I Choose?
| Your Preference | Our Recommendation |

| I am between sizes | Size up |
| I have broader shoulders or chest | Size up |
| I prefer a neater fit | Stay true to size |
| I plan to wear it over a T-shirt | Consider sizing up |
Our Launch Size Range
Our first collection is available in a focused size range: M, L and XL.
This allows us to launch with a considered selection while gathering customer feedback on fit, sizing and wearability. As The Timeless Shirt Archive grows, we will use this feedback to refine and expand future sizing.
Fabric, Feel & Wear
Our shirts are designed to feel comfortable, lightweight and easy to wear.
To preserve the shape, colour and finish of your shirt, we recommend:
- Wash at normal temperature
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not wring
Between Sizes?
If you are between sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.
This is especially true if you prefer a more relaxed fit through the chest, shoulders and body, or if you intend to wear the shirt layered.
A slightly more relaxed fit is also more consistent with the archive-inspired character of our shirts.
